Photo Blog: A Quick Escape to Bucari

Finally, we crossed out Bucari on our list. On May 29, prior going to GODUCATE for Jeuel’s wedding, we rerouted to Leon. All of us spent our college years in Iloilo City yet we never had the chance to set foot in Bucari. Dubbed as the Little Baguio of Iloilo, everyone never hesitated to visit the place.

At 4:30 we arrived at Brgy. Bucari, and it rained. We a little while in their coffee shop up until the rain will stop as it will be very challenging for us to hike.


We started to ascend at 5:10PM and we arrived at 5:22 at the top.


You’ll be amazed how everything is in place.


We spent a few moments on that area before proceeding to the ‘Puting Bato’, it took us 10-15 minutes to reach Puting Bati. Seriously, it was worth it to capture the sunset on that area.

On getting there from Iloilo City:

From Jaro, Iloilo City take a jeepney going to Leon.. Ask the driver to drop you off at the town plaza.

From the town plaza, take a tricycle or a motorcycle going to Bucari.
